Privacy
This notice explains, in plain language, how Pōmaikaʻi Ventures (“we,” “our,” “us”) treats information you choose to share with us through pomaikaiventures.com or by emailing us. We treat correspondence with the same discretion we expect of our counterparts — quietly, carefully, and only with the people who need to see it.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us, and only what is needed to respond well.
- Inquiry form. Your name, email address, the role you self-identify with (founder, executive or operator, family office or investor, strategic partner), and — optionally — your firm or company, sector and geographic focus, indicative investment size, accreditation status, and a free-text message.
- Email correspondence. The contents of any email you send us at info@pomaikaiventures.com.
- Basic website telemetry. Standard, server-level information such as IP address, browser type, referrer, and the pages you visit. This data is aggregated, used only to keep the site secure and to understand traffic patterns, and is not used to build a personal profile of you.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and to follow up by email or phone if you invite us to.
- To assess whether a potential conversation is appropriate — including, where relevant, evaluating accreditation status before any communication that touches on private investment opportunities.
- To keep an internal record of correspondence for our own due diligence, recordkeeping, and compliance practices.
We do not use your information for advertising, retargeting, or marketing emails. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone, ever.
Where it is stored
Inquiry form submissions are processed through Google Forms and stored in Google Workspace, which we use as our email and document platform. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which serves the site and provides standard security protections (such as DDoS mitigation). Each of these providers acts as a data processor on our behalf and is bound by their own published privacy and security commitments.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set marketing or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set a small number of essential security cookies that are required to keep the site available and protected. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party advertising trackers.
Confidentiality
We treat what you share with us as confidential as a matter of professional practice. Submitting an inquiry or sending us an email does not create a confidentiality agreement, an advisory relationship, or any duty owed to you by us. If you intend to share genuinely sensitive or proprietary information, please do not include it in an initial message — we will sign an appropriate non-disclosure agreement once a conversation warrants it.
Retention
We retain inquiry submissions and correspondence for as long as is reasonably useful for follow-up, recordkeeping, and compliance — typically several years — and longer if a regulatory, legal, or contractual reason requires it. You may ask us at any time to delete your information; see below.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have shared with us by writing to info@pomaikaiventures.com. We will respond within a reasonable period. To the extent the GDPR, UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or another applicable privacy law gives you additional rights — for example, to object, to restrict processing, or to receive a copy of your data — those rights are available to you on request.
Children
This site and our services are intended for adults engaged in business or professional matters. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be reflected here without separate notification.
