Frank Kanekoa
Founder & Principal · Pōmaikaʻi Ventures
Frank Kanekoa is the Founder and Principal of Pōmaikaʻi Ventures, a strategic advisory platform supporting family offices, private investors, founders, and operating companies in the evaluation, structuring, and execution of high-conviction opportunities.
Frank began his career at J.P. Morgan on the Global Investment Opportunities desk, structuring credit for OTC derivatives globally across asset classes for private and institutional clients. He later co-managed a private banking book representing more than $1 billion in client assets, advising on investment, banking, credit, and trust and estate planning matters while building a foundation in capital markets, risk assessment, discretion, and sophisticated financial architecture.
Over the past decade, Frank has worked across the full lifecycle of company building and investment execution as a founder, operator, board member, CEO, CFO, CMO, and strategic capital advisor. He has helped raise and secure tens of millions in capital and advised early and growth-stage companies across fundraising, corporate structuring, financial strategy, governance, investor communications, and market positioning.
Through Pōmaikaʻi Ventures, Frank works with family offices and private investors to identify, evaluate, and diligence opportunities through a disciplined yet entrepreneurial lens. He also advises founders and operators seeking institutional-grade strategy, capital formation, governance, and growth support. His work bridges institutional finance with real-world operating experience, helping clients assess business models, management teams, financial assumptions, capital structures, strategic risks, market positioning, and long-term value creation potential.
Frank holds a double major in International Business and Finance from Georgetown University, with concentrations in Economics and Spanish.
